Got to USA, good in itself , Flight took 7 hrs 15 Min's , was supposed to take 8:20, which is impressive in itself. Still got to see the smallest versions of Skyfall and Batman ever seen.
Have upgraded car: standing in the Alamo booking office watching the weather channel(which I am now convinced is a cunning ruse) which showed snow..followed by snow ..then some more..Oh and its going towards Florida( I'm not ,but neither does snow normally)outside was about 0 degrees and snow in the air.
People say we have an obsession with the weather over here its a way of life , possibly more important and slightly more dangerous,talk of "significant snow" = 10 inch's I am sure that would equate to national shutdown....lets see how it goes.
Have sorted phone out not too difficult but T mobile staff helpful.
Tips so far:
1: Wifi make sure its accessible
2:WhatsApp on the i phone is free on wifi.
3:Skype,godsend to keep in touch.
I have already been contacted by 2 of the people I am seeing this week welcoming me to the US and confirming addresses.Which is good.
Today and Sunday are acclimatisation and getting sorted days which to other fellows I would recommend: give yourself a little time to "prepare well on the ground" as it were.
